Rosephayne Powell-8

 


Born in 1962,  Dr. Rosephayne Powell has become one of America's most prolific composers of choral music (music sung by choirs).  She is commissioned (paid) regularly to write new music for vocal ensembles (choirs) worldwide! Dr. Powell currently teaches music at Auburn University.

  12. The Word Was God was very serious but powerful. Still, I Rise was very hopeful and upbeat. When We Sing was very fun. I Dream A World was serious and unexpected. The Cry of Jeremiah was very intense. I liked Dr. Powell’s music. It was all very different. Teddy Jarrell/Lucus 2nd
